Dr. Krake cherishes the relationships she has built over the years with our clients and their wonderful pets but due to illness in early 2000 Dr. Krake could no longer work at the clinic. She now devotes her time to her home life with her pets and grandchildren. She graduated from the University of Minnesota in 1982 and in 1984, opened Dakota Pet Hospital in her hometown of Farmington until relocating the clinic to Lakeville in 1989. Dr. Krake is very much a valued member of the Farmington community. She shares her home with her Golden Retrievers and her 7 cats. Over the years, her home has been opened to many, many animals. When enjoying her personal time, Dr. Krake likes to garden, sew, knit, and read.
Dr. Schnepf has been practicing veterinary medicine since her graduation from Iowa State University in 1982. She has been with Dakota Pet Hospital since 2003. Dr. Schnepf adores her relationships with her clients and loves being witness to the bond of her clients and their precious pets. Her special interests are in complementary care, nutrition and acupuncture. She studied traditional Chinese medicine in China in 1998 and took the veterinary acupuncture course at the Qi institute in Florida in 2005. In her spare time she is an avid yogi and enjoys travel to exotic lands. Her favorite things are her 3 sons, 2 daughter-in-laws, 2 granddaughters and 1 grandson-who are all simply magnificent! She spends a large amount of her time off cuddling, playing and walking her pup named 'Betty White & Black'. Her other interests include biking, walking, hiking, reading and of course laughter.
Dr. Kirsten Jagow completed a Bachelors Degree in animal science from UW-River Falls. She then received her Doctorate in veterinary medicine from the University of Minnesota in 2009. She has joined our team with a special interest in internal and preventative medicine, along with doing surgeries. Kirsten enjoys spending time outdoors with her dog, Ivy. Some of her favorite activities include kayaking, camping and downhill skiing.
Dr. Blohm graduated from the University of Wisconsin's School of Veterinary Medicine. After completion of an internship in emergency medicine and critical care, Dr. Blohm chose to pursue her passion of practicing preventative medicine. Dr. Blohm also enjoys internal medicine, dentistry, and animal behavior. Her favorite part about her job is witnessing the animal-human bond and doing her best to keep pets healthy and happy. Outside of work, Dr. Blohm enjoys spending time with her husband and friends, as well as her fur family, consisting of three cats and a dog, that have been rescued along the way in her path to becoming a great veterinarian. She also enjoys hiking, listening to live music, and reading books.
Dr. Wenum grew up in Minnesota, in the twin cities area. He joined the coast guard and was stationed on the east coast for 4 years. He moved back to Minnesota and attended the University of Minnesota both for undergraduate and graduate school. He graduated Veterinary school in 2000. Dr. Wenum has worked in the emergency field of veterinary medicine for 14 years. He enjoys the case load in an emergency setting and enjoys helping clients and their pets during a typically stressful time. His main interests include emergency and critical care, surgery and diagnostic imaging. His personal interests include spending time with his family, weight lifting, Muay Thai boxing, scuba diving and travel.
Dr. McNab is currently earning her certification on canine rehabilitation, which she is very passionate about. Dr. McNab graduated from the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine in 2001. When she isn't busy studying or working, Dr. McNab spends time outside hiking and running. Her Border Collie, Mr. Big, and her Australian Shepherd, Ranger keep her company on her runs and hikes. Dr. McNab has been a part of our team since 2008.
