Dr. Anne KrakeDVM
Dr. Krake cherishes the relationships she has built over the years with our clients and their wonderful pets. Due to illness in early 2000, Dr. Krake could no longer work at the clinic. She now devotes her time to her home life with her pets and grandchildren. She graduated from the University of Minnesota in 1982 and in 1984, opened Dakota Pet Hospital in her hometown of Farmington until relocating the clinic to Lakeville in 1989. Dr. Krake is very much a valued member of the Farmington community. She shares her home with her Golden Retrievers and her 7 cats. Over the years, her home has been opened to many, many animals. When enjoying her personal time, Dr. Krake likes to garden, sew, knit, and read.
Dr. Deb McNabDVM
Dr. McNab graduated from the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine in 2001 and has been a part of our team since 2008. Her passions are physical therapy and sports medicine. She has a special way with her patients and can calm most any nervous dog or cat. She is also an active member of her Girls Scout Troop. When she isn't busy coaching the girls during cookie season or working, Dr. McNab spends her free time with her family, her farm animals and enjoys being outside hiking or running Dr. McNab, her husband and two kids share their home with two rescue cats.
Dr. Kirsten JagowDVM
Dr. Jagow completed her undergraduate program through UW-River Falls and received her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Minnesota in 2009. She joined our team in 2015 with a special interest in internal and preventative medicine. She is also a talented and efficient surgeon and veterinary dentist. Dr. Jagow enjoys spending time outdoors hiking with her dog, Ivy. Some of her favorite activities include kayaking, camping, downhill skiing, enjoying craft beer and attending music festivals.
Dr. Kayla BorkaDVM
Dr. Borka was born and raised in Minnesota. She graduated from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine and completed her clinical year at the University of Florida. She joined our team in spring of 2019 where she is enjoying pursuing her passions in preventative medicine and surgery. Outside of work, Dr. Borka loves to spend her time gardening, listening to music, hiking and soaking up the sun. She also enjoys spending her free time with family and friends and having game nights.
Dr. Casey RabbeDVM
Dr. Casey Rabbe graduated from the University of Minnesota in 2014. She re-joined Dakota Pet Hospital after living in Iowa for 5 years where she worked in private practice and taught veterinary students at Iowa State University. She is very passionate about emergency and urgent care, surgery and dentistry.
Dr. Rabbe grew up on a farm in southern Minnesota, and enjoys riding and showing horses, camping, cooking and traveling. She lives in Lakeville with her husband, two daughters, Golden Retriever, and black cat
Dr. Eva ReinickeDVM
Dr. Reinicke grew up on a small farm in New York State where her family grew organic vegetables and had an assortment of farm animals. She completed undergrad at Earlham College in 2007 and took several jobs in environmental education before deciding to become a veterinarian. She graduated veterinary school at the University of Minnesota in 2016. She spent 5 years in mixed and equine practice and joined the team at Dakota Pet in September 2021. Her interests include preventative medicine, surgery and canine athletes. Outside of work Dr. Reinicke enjoys spending time with family including her husband, a border collie named Taiga and a mischievous cat named Leo. She also has 3 chickens and 15-30 colonies of honey bees. Winter is one of her favorite seasons and she and Taiga can be found out on the Nordic ski trails gliding through the snow.
Dr. Steve WenumDVM
Dr. Wenum grew up in the Twin Cities where he developed his love for animals and medicine. He joined the Coast Guard and was stationed on the east coast for 4 years before moving back to Minnesota where he attended the University of Minnesota both for undergraduate and doctorate school. He graduated from Veterinary Medical School in 2000. Dr. Wenum has worked in the emergency field of veterinary medicine for 14 years. He enjoys the case load in an emergency setting and enjoys helping clients and their pets through those stressful times. His main interests include emergency and critical care, surgery and diagnostic imaging. His personal interests include spending time with his family, weight lifting, Muay Thai boxing, scuba diving and travel.
